Medical technology for Tanzania
Medical projects in Tanzania have received our support for many years. This also applies to the St. Monica Hospital at Mount Kilimanjaro, which is being built by a German charity organization.
Alfons Scheirle is a committee member of the Baraka-Kinderhilfe Kilimandscharo e.V. and has been committed to the people in Africa for many years. The eighty-year-old and his co-workers assisted in the planning and construction of the St. Monica Hospital in Kirua, Tanzania, which took a total of ten years to complete. In August 2019, the clinic was inaugurated with a ceremony.
To improve and expand the treatment options, our company donated a VIO unit including accessories to the project. At the beginning of January, Alfons Scheirle received the gift with joy:
"I would simply like to thank you again for this generous and noble donation, which will benefit the people of Tanzania".
The St. Monica Hospital is located about 30 km from the district capital of Moshi and is directly adjacent to the Kilimanjaro National Park. It is the most important medical point of contact serving about 150,000 people in the area.
